Update on Phuntsok Rinpoche.

Phuntsok Rinpoche is currently in perfect health and not only is Rinpoche doing very well in his studies and daily practices, he is also very happy and energetic like usual.

Rinpoche is currently in a perfect environment to concentrate in his studies and practices. As for myself, after my daily routine of sending Rinpoche to and back from school, I engage in open deity yoga retreat sessions. The place where we are staying is indeed the perfect and conducive environment for me to serve guru with guru yoga practices as well as engaging in the intended retreats. As for my retreat boundaries, I abstain from any form of communication via emails / Facebook except for during break between each sets of retreat.

I sincerely apologize to those who have written to me but was unable to reply.

I would like to ensure to everyone who has requested my prayers during your difficult times and those who hope for prayers and spiritual help in future, even though I could not response to your emails promptly but my daily prayers are always with you. The sole purpose of continuing my retreats is for the long life, good health, prosperity and enlightenment of all noble beings and in particularly to those who needed my spiritual assistance.

With much prayers and happiness,
Geshe Zopa :-)

Short update on Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche (9th June 2012).

Short update on Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche.

Tashi Delek to all,

I am extrremely pleased to update that Phuntsok Rinpoche is in perfect health and enjoying his studies as usual. He has received Yamantaka initiations and commentaries on Lam Rim from his teacher Jangje Choje Kyensure Losang Tenzin Rinpoche during the 2012 Monlam Festival recently.
Phuntsok Rinpoche takes very seriously his daily practices and very much enjoy his studies too.
He always said no holiday is better as he loves attending schools than having holidays.
I witnessed Rinpoche doing early morning meditation by himself with much happiness and great inspiration. He also put great joyous effort to do all his daily commitments of those initiations and teachings received.

I asked if he got bored or tired doing long commitment prayers and mantras after his long day in school and his reply  was "I enjoy doing my prayers as much as attending schools". It was indeed a very inspired conversation with him.

He often mentioned to Ven Ani Chodron that doing daily commitment prayers happily is extremely important for our spiritual realization. He occasionally jokes with Ven Ani la that doing commitment practices is as yummy as eating Pizza!!! Hahaha...

I apologized for the late update on Rinpoche's annual Monlamn prayers offerings. My sister Ven Losang Drolma had arranged offerings to all Sanghas who attended this year Monlam prayer festival at Kopan Monastery in March . As usual, the merits were dedicated for the long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and all the gurus & peace and enlightenment of all beings and also to all Rinpoche's students and friends around the world. This year Phuntsok Rinpoche's Monlam offerings and prayers are also specially dedicated for the long life and perfect health of our most respected guru Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche, swift return of Khensur Rinpoche's reincarnation & peace and freedom for  the Tibetan people.

In the coming days, Phuntsok Rinpoche will be committing full time in his academic general studies until he joins Sera University in a few years time. Appointments will be made for those who wish to see Rinpoche's during his school holidays in Kopan Monastery.

Once again thank you very much to all.

With much prayers,
Geshe Zopa

Letter From Losang Drolma to Geshe Tenzin Zopa

Dear brother,

Tashi Delek!!!! How are you there? I hope this email find you in good health and everything is going well with you in Malaysia. As for us here, we are all fine and happy.

I'm happy to update you on the progress of Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche. Monlam Chenmo has just finished and from March 4 (2010) onwards, the teaching on Lam Rim Chenmo will commence and Rinpoche will be attending these teachings. During the Monlam Chenmo festival, Phuntsok Rinpoche attended pujas everyday and just like previous years before the end of the 15 days festival, we offered the sanghas tea, bread and cash offerings of 50 rs to each sangha. There were almost 2,000 sangha present that day. The event went well and I must say it was very succesful indeed.

I will keep you posted of any updates pertaining to Rinpoche. Meanwhile, take care and all the best. Hope to see you soon.

With much love and care ,
Losang Drolma

I am writing to give thanks for the dream

February 9th, 2010

Dear Honored Lama Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche, or to whom it may concern:

My name is Elana Golden, I am writing from Los Angeles, California.

Immediately after watching the documentary “Unmistaken Child” (about the search for the incarnation of Geshe Lama Konchog) — I had a dream in my sleep that I am carrying the boy Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche in my arms, as we are walking down the outdoors steps of (what I think is) the public library in New York. As I was carrying the boy in my arms he trusted me fully, it was the most natural thing in the world. I was so happy to be have him in my arms. I asked him “How old are you?” and he said: “Nine.” When I woke up I was in an expanded state filled with Grace and love, and every time I remember the dream or share it with close friends, this expansion and magic continues.

I am writing to give thanks for the dream.

For the past 25 years I have been a student of Siddha Yoga meditation – a path to experiencing the Self – originating in India. My spiritual teacher is Gurumayi Chidvilasanada. It is a wonderful path. At the same time, having had this dream, I am pulled to go to a center that honors/ practices the teachings and energy of Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche – to further offer my gratitude and to stay in his energy field.

I believe in the power of dreams and live my life according and in allignment to them. This dream is important and meaningful to me. I feel that it calls me forth to to “carry” the teachings of this lineage in my heart and in my work in the world as a writer, screenwriter, film director, writing teacher, peacemaker and healer.

I would appreciate it if you can please relay this dream to Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche.

I would also like to find a center in Los Angeles or in the Southern California region to go to. I tried on the internet but did not find any in the this location. Can you please advise me on that?

I also want to ask if there is anything I can “do”, or a way to “be”, to honor this dream?

With all my love, with gratitude and awe at the ways of Spirit, and with great blessings for Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche and for you all.

Dear students and friends of Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche,

“Tashi Delek and prayers to all from Phuntsok Rinpoche”.

For your information, Phuntsok Rinpoche has just completed his one and a half month summer retreat and would like to dedicate his merits to everyone who’s directly or indirectly connected to him.

Rinpoche also managed to have a short but fun packed holiday after his retreat, and despite all that excitement, he continued to dedicate his merits to everyone. He is now back to school and he is enjoying very much both his studies and with his classmates. Rinpoche is also looking forward to having some fun time on his birthday on Oct 28.
